Access:From the summit of Whangapoua Road (SH 25) or opposite Tokatea Lookout on the summit of Kennedy Bay Road.
Features:This tramping track meanders through regeneratingforest to the trig. Return the way you came or continueon to the other access point. There are views to the MercuryIslands from the trig. Tokatea Goldmine was the richestgold reef in the area and hidden mineshafts lurk in the bushoff the trail. A steep 15-minute track from the summit ofKennedy Bay Rd leads to the Tokatea Lookout and stunningviews of the Coromandel landscape.
