Hunting Tips:There is a small, partially sheltered bay, marked on the map by an ‘X’, where boats can be beached. Bush is mainly rewarewa and tawa, and is quite huntable, though there are some tight pieces. There are a few rough clearings in places. Not as many wallabies as elsewhere in the area, but some good deer stalking. The lakeshore is difficult to walk around. If you climb up the mountain and out of the bush, you trespass on private property. Keep to the forested areas.
