SpotX hunting (68.5) Accommodation:Nil at valley start but you can camp overnight in the valley. Access:Walking from the valley start, on SH2 Waioeka Gorge just below Wairata. Keep to the track, and don’t disturb stock. Permits:Online or DoC Opotiki. Restrictions:Dogs by permit only. Hunting Tips:Once you get up the valley a reasonable ways, there are some good leading ridges up on your right. The head of the valley is made up of a few different small valleys. All hold animals but the true left, of the two eastern most valleys has the better hunting. Walking into the valley is across private property, please don’t disturb stock.
